Gougram Vikas Abhiyan

'Gougram Vikas Abhiyan' planned for Vidarbha & surrounding areas (in a total of 21 districts) during 'Nagpur
Conference'
An inaugural program, to
>> officially launch this campaign, is scheduled for 22nd of next month
>> at Basar village, which is the focal point for these 21 districts
>> included in the 'Vidarbha Abhiyan'.
>> Initially 15 villages from 3 districts (Nanded, Nizamabad and Adilabad
>> dists) are covered in the Phase-1 of the Abhiyan.
>>
>> In our last meeting with Dr Vijay Bhatkar ji at Kolhapur, i have
>> proposed for making a model village-cluster adopting these 15 villages
>> under the 'Unnat Bharat Abhiyan'. Besides giving an initial approval,
>> Dr Bhatkar ji has suggested me to make a Ppt presentation of the
>> proposed activity before a team of IIT-Delhi during a 1-day seminar
>> being scheduled for next month in IIT-D campus.
>>
>> And as mentioned in my earlier mail, the Govidya' Centre of Excellence
>> being set up in Basar area will function as the coordinating centre
>> for all of our Gavya-chikitsa related studies.  While Dr Ike Swami
>> (Secunderabad) has provided space for the Office of 'Holistic Health
>> Foundation', Sri Manohar B (ACP - Nizamabad) has kindly consented to
>> donate 5 acres of land to the Foundation for setting up of the
>> proposed centre. And as planned earlier we need to make some initial
>> setup by the time of the next Govidya workshop at Hyderabad. (27-28
>> June 2015)
>>
>> Sri G Sridhar Rao (MD of Vishal Projects Ltd.)  has agreed to provide
>> necessary training facilities at their resort 'Prakruthi Nivas'
>> (Dindigul, Hyd) to train our staff and volunteers from Basar area
>> starting from next month.
>>
>> And as suggested by Dr Ashok ji Vaidya in his earlier mail (forwarded
>> below) and as per the meticulous plan given by Madam Leena Mehendale
>> ji, we are trying our best to involve the Panchayats, Mamlatdars,
>> Talatis, PHCs, local MLAs, MPs, Bureaucrats and NGOs from these 3
>> districts for the proper implementation of both 'Gougram Vikas' and
>> 'Gavya Chikitsa' campaigns.
>>
>> A meeting is being convened today in Hyd to discuss the ongoing
>> preparations for the March 22nd launch program at Basar.
>> The details of the same will be circulated through next mail.
>> Seeking valuable inputs from each of you in this regard.
>> Humble pranams,
>> Srinivas Rao
